What is the Tarot?

Tarot is a system of divination comprised of 78 cards popularized by the Rider-Waite-Smith deck first published in 1910. Illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith, the RWS deck helped to standardize and make accessible the complex images and meanings of the cards that trace their origins back to the 15th century. Most contemporary Tarot decks are based on Smith’s illustrations —let’s celebrate her!

Reading Tarot for 20 years

When reading for Seekers I take a practical approach: what steps can you take to get closer to what you want and what steps can you take to get further away from what you don’t want?

20-minute Tarot Reading | $20 | Best for short, clear questions.

60-minute Tarot Reading | $60 | Better for longer or more complicated questions.

Group Reading | You host me at your house and I read for you and yours. This can be gallery style with everyone in the same room during the readings, or I can take people individually into a separate room for their readings, whichever you prefer. Free Will and the Tarot

The Tarot is simply a weathervane, showing you which way the situation you're asking about is currently flowing. This doesn't mean that predicted events in the cards will come to pass without fail, just that they're likely to occur given the people, issues, and motivations currently involved in the situation. Sometimes the cards can warn us of an impending complication or disaster and they'll offer us advice on how to weather the storm with grace. The cards are meant to offer advice, guidance, support, encouragement, and wisdom. What Seekers do with that information is always up to them; I do not guarantee any outcome.

Do I need a question?

Very often folks get the most out of the reading when they come to it with a particular question in mind. This isn't required, and I start each reading by helping to shape the question to ask the cards, but I tend to find folks are most satisfied by the experience when they've considered what to ask the cards a bit in advance. People ask me all sorts of questions about prospects for money, career, jobs, sexual compatibility, romantic relationships, family, health, education, spirituality -whatever one is struggling with or wants to accomplish.
